Another QR code use I just discovered: We bought our first flat screen high-def TV over the holidays (yes, finally out of the dark ages…and already a high-def snob, but I digress), and while examining all of our new HD channels, I discovered that one channel, the Home Shopping Network, permanently displays a QR code in the lower right corner of the “wasted space” part of the screen, the far right side not seen by “dark ages” televisions. Walk up to the TV, scan the QR code, and you’re taken to a mobile-formatted, high-quality “buy it” page for the product currently being pitched. Probably the best use of a QR code I’ve discovered so far.
